On October 5, 2026, Chef Yosuke Akasaka of La Maison Confortable received the Prix de la Découverte (Discovery Gem Award), a special award presented at the LA LISTE 2027 Japan Special Awards, held at the French Ambassador’s Residence in Tokyo.
Originating in France, LA LISTE is an international restaurant guide that highlights outstanding restaurants around the world, drawing on evaluations from restaurant guides and media publications worldwide.
The award recognizes the refined cuisine and intimate approach to dining at La Maison Confortable, a restaurant opened in 2025 by Chef Akasaka, formerly at the helm of Pierre Gagnaire Tokyo.
Akasaka created this small restaurant with a desire to bring his cuisine closer to his guests, allowing them to enjoy each dish in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, without formality or tension. We are deeply honored that both the cuisine and the vision behind the restaurant have received such recognition.
